Alan grew up on the Island of Guernsey in the English Channel, renowned for its huge tides, variable weather and exposed coastline the knowledge and skills Alan learnt from just 6 years old have made him the sailor he is today. Teaching sailing and racing became a way of life and naturally became his career.
His progression onto super yachts has given him the chance to travel the world extensively, including the Galapagos Islands, Easter Island and Patagonia. His racing skills have earn him positions in many regattas such as the St Barth bucket and the Sydney to Hobart race.
With an inspiring enthusiasm for all things rope and sail Alan is proud to be using his skills to help Shamoun sail swiftly and safely.
